Emily Garton has become Maple Group’s first homegrown Associate, having successfully qualified as a solicitor through the Maples Jersey Trainee Solicitor Programme.
Emily joined the firm as a trainee and has spent the past two years rotating through key practice areas, gaining experience across the Group’s Jersey legal services offering. As part of her training scheme, Emily had the opportunity to work in the Dublin office.
Nick Evans, Head of Office in Jersey, commented: “Emily has demonstrated exceptional capability and commitment, and we are very much looking forward to supporting her continued growth and success in the years ahead. This is rightly a proud and hugely significant moment for Emily, but also a proud milestone for the team and a testament to the strength of our trainee programme.”
Reflecting on her journey, Emily said: “I am incredibly grateful to have been part of the Maples Jersey trainee programme. The support, guidance, and exposure to complex, high quality work have been invaluable. A highlight of mine was my secondment to our Dublin office, which increased my awareness of the Group’s global capabilities and was beneficial to my personal and professional development.”
