Male Uprising Guernsey is calling on sports fans and islanders alike to raise their pint to raise awareness and swap their standard glassware for a cause that matters this year.
The charity’s reusable plastic pint cups are now being sold at local venues. Available for just £5, every cup sold goes directly toward raising awareness and supporting those affected by male cancers in Guernsey.
Marvin, owner of the Cornerstone Group, started selling the pint cups at Nutmeg, and The Cock and Bull to encourage sports fans to support the charity now and in the run-up to the Six Nations Championship in February. MUG is incredibly grateful for his support.
Marvin said: “It’s great to be teaming up with Male Uprising Guernsey (MUG) for this initiative. The work the charity does to raise awareness of male cancers and wellbeing in the Bailiwick is incredible.
“Community sits at the heart of all of our venues so, if we can help start a few important conversations amongst our customers about keeping their health in check over a pint or two, then we’re all for it.
“In both Nutmeg and The Cock and Bull, we offer low and alcohol-free alternatives. So, whatever your tipple, not only can you get together with mates to catch the game, but with MUG’s reusable pint pots, you can also help spread the charity’s word – it’s a win-win.”
