The third of the JT sponsored IoD Guernsey series of seminars will explore the options of making Guernsey’s digital vision a reality.
Richard Hanrahan, Chief Executive, Agilisys Guernsey will share an overview of their partnership with the States of Guernsey and the opportunities digital can bring.
Richard will then join a panel session with colleagues from Agilisys, Paul Taylor, JT Managing Director in Guernsey and Meriel Lenfestey the IoD Guernsey’s lead on digital connectivity. The panel will be moderated by Jennifer Strachan.
In June, last year The States of Guernsey embarked on a ten-year partnership with digital technology specialist Agilisys. The partnership’s vision is to transform the island’s public services, by improving the efficiency of government and delivering a better customer experience, as well as supporting the development of Guernsey’s digital economy.
JT was selected by Agilisys to help deliver the 10-year programme and signed a formal partnership agreement on this at the end of November 2019.
‘”There is virtually no aspect of business today that has not felt the impact of digital technology, and local directors need to ensure they are fully cognizant of the opportunities, and risks, that these shifts inevitably bring.
“We are looking forward to hearing about the rewards that the island’s partnership with Agilisys will bring as well as looking at some of the challenges we all face in making Guernsey’s digital vision a reality,” said John Clacy, IoD Chair, Guernsey.
Paul Taylor, JT Managing Director in Guernsey said: “JT is fully committed to working with Agilisys and the States of Guernsey to help ensure the 10-year programme to transform Guernsey’s digital services is delivered.
“What the JT team can provide is access to the very best Network and technology solutions which will not only help businesses large or small but everyone that uses government services in Guernsey.”
The lunch takes place on Tuesday 4 February at the OGH Hotel in St Peter Port.
