Jersey will play host to discerning party-goers this summer thanks to a series of luxury daytime events launching in June.
Organised by Wonderlux Events Limited, BrunchParty will offer an elegant blend of food, drink, DJ sets, live music and entertainment in some of Jersey’s most stunning private residences and venues.
Inspired by the growing trend for brunch events in London, Dubai and New York, it is hoped the events will appeal not only to Jersey’s resident revellers but will also entice affluent young fun-seekers from Guernsey and the UK to the island.
‘We saw an opportunity in the market to create a brunch event that would appeal to the young, and not so young, party crowd. It’s for people who want to spend a Saturday afternoon eating, drinking and having fun with family and friends – the kind of party crowd who aren’t shy of buying a treasure chest at Mahiki. It will be a first for Jersey,’ said James Matthewson, who co-founded Wonderlux Events with Tom Le Seuer and James Robertson.
‘We want to attract island residents but we also think Jersey is an attractive proposition for people from the mainland and Guernsey. The parties will take place in beautiful private residences, which will provide stunning backdrops, and we’ll be bringing together some dynamic brands to each event, including drinks, luxury cars and jewellery brands.’
Each event will be themed and luxury transportation will be used to shuttle party-goers to and from the venues – which have yet to be announced. Brunch parties will run from midday to 6pm, with after-parties at the Royal Yacht.
Tickets to each event will be limited to 300 and will be sold on a strictly first-come, first-serve basis via the event website (brunchparty.je), where VIP tables and exclusive memberships will be available. Each ticket sale will contain a small donation to Jersey Hospice.
BrunchParty will debut on 13 June, with further events planned for 18 July, August 22, September 26 and October 31.
