In the fiduciary department, Andy Russell has been promoted to senior trust manager. He joined in 2008 and is responsible for a team who have, for more than a decade, administered a group of ultra-high net worth relationships. Mr Russell has extensive experience in dealing with complex multi-jurisdictional trust and company structures for wealth preservation and asset protection, commercial and residential real estate development and planning in North America.

Kim Martin has been promoted to finance manager. She has worked for the company for 11 years and was initially employed as a trust officer in the fiduciary department until later moving to client accounting. In her new role, she has responsibility to the board for the production of management accounts, annual financial statements and ad-hoc reporting for both client and Saffery Champness’ own group companies.

In the funds team, Nathalie Pike has been promoted to funds compliance manager. She has over 30 years of experience working in the finance industry, and joined in 2013 as a fund compliance senior officer. She has specific expertise in fund administration, particularly in the private equity and property fund sector where she worked for 12 years. Her new role involves all aspects of compliance monitoring and compliance reporting for the fund business. She has obtained her advanced certificate and diploma in fund administration and the ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Four people have been promoted across the audit department, Jake Dutot and Kelly Le Page to assistant audit managers and Connor Gaudion and Genevieve Bougourd to audit semi-seniors.

Joe Cardoso-Smale has been promoted to assistant trust manager and Steph Batiste to senior trust officer. Simon Ricketts, Dani Bougourd and Alex Burt have also been promoted to trust officers.

Sophie Tostevin has also been promoted to HR officer.

Saffery Champness employs more than 120 people in its Guernsey office and has seen many individuals progress from junior roles to senior management including managing director Nick Batiste who started with the company as a trainee trust administrator in 1992.

He said: “These promotions reflect the growing talent within the firm and I congratulate them all on their well-deserved success.”
