A new AI category and headline sponsor are amongst the changes for the 7th Annual Jersey TechAwards, with nominations now open to local digital innovators.

Organised by Digital Jersey and with support from new headline sponsor EWG, the TechAwards, celebrate innovation in the island and recognise the very best of Jersey’s digital talent, creativity and entrepreneurship.

Individuals and businesses are able to nominate themselves or others they believe are worthy across 13 diverse categories – with a new category added this year for AI. The full list of categories is as follows:

  • Innovation Award, sponsored by PwC Channel Islands
  • Start-Up Award, sponsored by NatWest International
  • Public &  Third Sector Award, sponsored by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies
  • Leadership Award, sponsored by Jersey Electricity
  • AI Award, sponsored by Sure Business
  • Company Award, sponsored by Switch Digital
  • Fintech Award, sponsored by Quantios
  • Creative Award, sponsored by Vaiie
  • Student Award, sponsored by Carey Olsen
  • Teacher Award, sponsored by PropelFwd
  • Productivity Award, sponsored by Elev8CX / Cirrus
  • Cyber Security & Data Protection Award, sponsored by JT
  • Digital Jersey Award, sponsored by TPA

The deadline for nominations this year is 14th March, with an independent panel of expert judges once again set to rigorously assess submissions. The Awards Ceremony will take place at the Royal Jersey Showground on Friday 17th October 2025, whilst the chosen charity for the Awards this year is Mind Jersey, an independent local charity that provides support to people living with mental illness.

Commenting on the launch of the 7th Annual TechAwards, Tony Moretta, CEO, Digital Jersey, said: “Every year our flagship awards have become bigger and better – last year we were nearly at capacity for our ceremony at the Jersey Royal Showground, which is a fantastic reflection of how our local digital sector is thriving. We have continued to make enhancements to the Awards again this year, with the addition of a new AI award, and I am also really pleased to have EWG on board as our new headline sponsor.

“I’m looking forward to seeing entries from right across our private, public and third sectors for our seventh awards as we look to champion innovation, celebrate the island’s top tech talent and reward those going the extra mile to make the future better for all of us.”

Alan Yates, Director at EWG, added: “We are delighted to be supporting the Jersey TechAwards as headline sponsor for the first time this year.  These awards really illustrate the depth of digital expertise we are fortunate to have in Jersey, and as a leading Jersey FinTech, we believe it’s important to continue to recognise the excellence in innovation and talent we have on the Island.”
