Defence Logic, a local cyber security firm, has released its Security Information and Event Management product (SIEM), into the Japanese market. The company is also training the next generation of cyber security professionals, who will apply their knowledge of the innovative product in Japan next month.

Defence Logic’s SIEM, developed in Jersey, offers clients advanced security monitoring and reporting to help them to identify and respond to cyber threats, improve their cyber securityand compliance. As a result, better protecting their critical data and systems. Defence Logic’s product boasts a flexible licencing model, a filtered reporting system and improved incident response strategies. The security monitoring and event management product is already available to Jersey clients, andDefence Logic hasnow signed a distribution agreement in Japan, allowing their Japanese sister company Nihon Cyber Defence to re-sell the innovative product.

Defence Logic has also been training three Cyber Security Masters students, from the Queens Belfast University. The students have been at Defence Logic’s offices for the last five weeks, before undertaking a yearlong work placement with Nihon Cyber Defence. They are supplementing their master’s degree knowledge with training emphasisingtechnical disciplines such as network security monitoring, penetration testing and how to construct a Securities Operation Centre (SOC). The training Defence Logic has given included detailedknowledge of the SIEM product, which will enable them to assist in deploying it in the Japanese market during their placement.

Anthony Flemmer, CEO of Defence Logic:

“We are delighted to be expanding our links with the Japanese market, offering our SIEM to an international audience. We developed our product to counteract frustrations that we have had with other security monitoring products on offer and hopedall those who use this product wouldsee the benefits.

“Providing vital training to graduates will also allow this product to be deployed fully into the market and builds the necessary support for the product. We are delighted to be able to align our strategic goals with our sister company, Nihon Cyber Defence, and gain Jersey international recognition. We hope our relationship internationally will continue to grow.”
