Animal charity employee Yvonna Chauvel from the GSPCA in Guernsey has been awarded the title of ‘Employee of the Year ’ in the Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards 2026.
The winners were announced at an award ceremony held at The International Conference Centre in Telford, where the award was presented by TV personality and dog welfare advocate Pete Wicks, host of the event.
Petplan and the Association of Dog and Cat Homes (ADCH) have been celebrating the remarkable work carried out by animal charities and not -for-profit organisations across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands for 14 years and sharing incredible stories of those who go above and beyond to help rescue and rehome animals in need.
On receiving the award, Yvonna said: “I’ve been with GSPCA for 30 years, and it’s been wonderful, and to now be given this award, for a passion that I’ve had for so many years… I’m overwhelmed and just thrilled .”
