To celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025, Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands will be introducing two new grant programmes next year.

The 40th Anniversary Programme is designed to help charities who have been hit hardest by cost-of-living increases. There are 10 grants of £40,000 in unrestricted funding available to charities who can demonstrate a significant increase in demand due to the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on people who are socially excluded and disadvantaged.

An additional specialist programme will be announced in June 2025.

Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands (LBFCI) has given over £25 million to Channel Islands charities. Alongside funding, all charities who receive grants from the Foundation have the opportunity to access developmental support through their strategic partnership with  Lloyds Banking Group. This includes mentoring, skills exchange, and charity response forums providing support in areas such as strategy, business and financial planning, reviewing organisational structures, leading and managing teams, and communication, marketing and digital.

For 2025, there will be a change to the typical funding programme in order to introduce the two new funds for the Foundation’s 40th anniversary. The normal criteria apply, the details are as follows.

LBFCI Chair, Philippa Stahelin (pictured), commented: “The past few years have been especially difficult for charities, beginning with the Covid-19 pandemic and followed by the cost-of-living crisis which have had the double impact for charities of increased demand and increased cost.

“As we celebrate 40 years of giving in the Channel Islands, we want to ensure these charities who have been most affected receive our help, and so I’m delighted to announce our 40th Anniversary Grant Programme. I also encourage all charities who receive a Foundation grant to take advantage of our free developmental support which can be transformative for charities.”
