Livingroom broadens experience as growth continues

Livingroom Estate Agents has made four new appointments in Guernsey and reorganised its lettings team as it continues to grow.

Gill Bown and Justine Smith have both joined the agency’s Local Market sales team, Sarah Froome has been promoted to Residential Lettings Manager and Emy De La Mare has joined Livingroom to manage its brand and business development with particular focus on the Open Market in Guernsey.

Gill joins Livingroom from a leading international legal practice and brings more than two decades of invaluable property conveyancing experience to Livingroom together with an intrinsic understanding of Guernsey life.

Justine previously worked for an estate agency and for a local legal practice before more recently undertaking a pivotal role within the medical sector. Justine brings both experience and knowledge that spans the property sector together with a focus on customer experience and client relationships.

Both new appointments will apply their expertise to the Local Market and work with Livingroom’s clients to guide them through the purchasing process from the initial search, to viewings, to the final transaction.

Emy De La Mare brings more than a decade of experience in international marketing, events and communications roles in both Australia and Guernsey. She is tasked with identifying new opportunities for the business. The newly created role will see Emy working closely with Livingroom Founder, CEO Simon Torode and the agency’s dedicated in-house creative and PR teams to ensure its properties are marketed effectively in Guernsey, Jersey and further afield.

Simon said: “Justine, Gill, Sarah and Emy add unquantifiable expertise to our already impressive team of property and creative professionals. Their collective knowledge of island life and experience of working with clients across all sectors is of huge benefit to our business.

“When we launched in 2006 it was because we felt that vendors and buyers weren’t at the heart of the estate agency market and we’ve worked hard since then to prioritise customer service and keep customers informed at every step of the way. Adding to our existing team will contribute to that immensely.”

Sarah first joined the Livingroom lettings team in 2015 with intermittent periods of travelling before accepting the promotion to return to Guernsey and manage the Residential Lettings team. Like many of the team, Sarah brings a prolific family history with property, construction and business relationships to Livingroom.

“Sarah brings fresh eyes to our lettings department but, crucially, will combine this with knowledge of our agency and the Guernsey market. We have a huge offering at Livingroom and Sarah’s return, coupled with Justine, Gill and Emy joining us, mean that we’re stronger than ever,” said Simon.
