Government House has played host to an inspiring evening celebrating Camp de Rêves, Guernsey’s 2025 winner of the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise.

The event, hosted by His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell, brought together business leaders, community representatives and past applicants to mark the achievement and encourage more local businesses to apply for the 2026 Award.

Speaking at the event, His Excellency said: “Camp de Rêves has demonstrated how a locally-led business can achieve royal recognition through vision, integrity and impact. The King’s Award is a symbol of excellence and I hope more businesses across the Bailiwick will be inspired to put themselves forward for this exceptional honour.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise recognise outstanding UK businesses across four categories:

  • International Trade
  • Innovation
  • Sustainable Development
  • Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility)

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Alice Gill, said: “We were proud to support Camp de Rêves through their application journey and thrilled to see them recognised at the highest level. We know Guernsey has no shortage of deserving businesses – from innovators to exporters to social enterprises -and we are here to help guide them through the process. The Award offers more than prestige, it opens doors.”

The Committee for Economic Development also encouraged local businesses to seize the opportunity. Committee President Sasha Kazantseva-Miller said: “The King’s Award for Enterprise is one of the highest honours in UK business and it puts Guernsey’s entrepreneurial talent on the national stage. Camp de Rêves is a shining example – and together with Chamber we are determined to support others in pursuing similar recognition, demonstrating the strength, creativity, and ambition of our island’s economy.”
