LGL Group have pledged their support to Les Amis as it partners with the island’s learning disability charity to make a difference to the lives of its residents and service users.
The Jersey office of the global corporate, fund and family office solutions business have selected Les Amis as their long term chosen charity, committing to a programme of voluntary work and internal fundraising initiatives in aid of the charity. The company will be helping Les Amis plan and carry out the makeover of a residential home garden area at Somers House, as well as planning a virtual online afternoon tea to continue raising money for the charity under the current restrictive circumstances.
Zena Couppey, Chief Commercial Officer at LGL Group, said: “We recognise at this time how important it is as a firm to give back to the community and wanted to reach out to Les Amis since we were aware of the important work they do within the island. LGL Group and its staff are all eager to assist the charity in any way we can and we have already started planning some fundraisers which we hope will help Les Amis recoup some of the losses they have suffered in 2020.”
Jason Loveless, Head of Support Services at Les Amis said: “At the moment we just don’t know what the future will hold for us, so it makes it very difficult to plan any of our usual events. The support of our corporate partners allows us to maintain a high awareness within the community and to encourage others to donate to our cause.
“Our main project this year will be to redesign the garden at Somers House so that residents can make better use of the outdoors area. LGL Group will be lending us their expertise and labour in getting the project underway. We are extremely thankful for the support of the LGL Group at this time and continue to believe that we will become stronger and more resilient when we work in partnership with others”.
