Dr Christopher Richardson, Founder of Digital Smart Solutions, along with Annabel Berry, Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire and Dr Sam De Silva, Partner at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang will headline the Annual Cyber Security Conference in Jersey on 19 September 2019.
Public interest in cyber security has never been higher and this conference aims to increase IT security awareness and knowledge for local business leaders, directors, information security experts and the general public.
The previous Head of Bournemouth University Cyber Security Unit, Dr Christopher Richardson is currently building a global platform service aimed to securely deliver digital learning modules with micro-accrediting, personalised online education, which will disrupt a growing $500Bn continuous professional, personal development and higher education market sector.
Richard will be sharing his views on how we can understand and robustly keep our computer systems in a good state given the nature of the current constantly interconnected world.
Annabel Berry has a career spanning over 20 years in the cyber security industry and was recently recognised by CRN as one of the most influential women in the UK IT channel and included her in their 2018 A-List. As a member of everywoman.com, Annabel takes an active involvement in encouraging more women into the cyber security industry.
Annabel will address steps to effectively communicate the risk and business impact in a language the board will understand.
Dr Sam De Silva is a lawyer specialising in strategic IT and telecommunication projects and also advises on data protection, privacy and cyber security issues.
He is recognised as a leading individual in the most recent edition of the Legal 500 and as a Star Individual in Chambers & Partners directories.
Sam will provide a practical overview of the key features and essential elements of software licences, and the issues organisations need to consider in order to review and negotiate an effective software license.
The free-to-attend event has been organised by the Channel Islands Information Security Forum (CIISF).
