KPMG in the Crown Dependencies has appointed a new ESG Associate Director, Rachelle Wilkes.

Rachelle’s position has taken effect from 1st October 2022, and the appointment recognises the firm’s commitment to helping clients incorporate ESG into their business model.

Rachelle is a dedicated ESG professional with over 15 years’ experience in senior roles across Science, Technology and Finance. Most recently, Rachelle worked as Product Governance and Sustainability Lead for HSBC Asset Management (HSBC Management Guernsey Limited), specialising in Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Fund of Fund financial products with a focus on board governance and sustainability reporting requirements; notably EU regulations such as SFDR and TCFD.

Rachelle is a key contributor to ESG education as a Board member for the MBA programme at Durham University Business School and as a Climate Ambassador for MIT Sloan. Her skillset is enhanced by her significant cross sector experience working as the Business Lead in successful state-wide Health Informatics and Technology projects across NSW Australia. She is also a qualified Medical Radiation Scientist, with five years clinical experience, which is a significant enabler for understanding the systemic effects of climate change.

Neale Jehan, Senior Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, says, “Rachelle’s appointment reflects our continued dedication to enabling clients transform their businesses to be ESG friendly. Her experience in leading global sustainability projects are a vital asset in ensuring we provide the best advice and assurance on ESG strategy and reporting.”
