Victoria Gillespie has been named as one of the top 50 women in the hedge fund world by leading industry publication The Hedge Fund Journal.
Now in its ninth year, the ’50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds’ list is a recognised barometer for excellence and diversity in the sector, identifying and celebrating women around the world who have made particularly significant achievements, demonstrated superior knowledge and driven progress in all areas of the hedge fund industry.
This year ESG featured prominently, with Victoria one of a number of professionals entering the list as ESG experts.
In her role at JTC, Victoria is responsible for the management and development of JTC’s ESG service offering to clients, which includes supporting fund managers with their investment and corporate policies, and plays a major role in shaping JTC Group’s own corporate ESG strategy.
Previously Head of Depositary and Post-Trade Compliance services for SS&C Technologies, Victoria joined JTC in 2020 following the acquisition of INDOS Financial with more than 20 years’ financial services experience. Having worked in a number of investment management and business advisory roles, she has also supported a number of organisations championing women’s careers. A chartered certified accountant, Victoria holds the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute and the Certificate in Leading Sustainable Organisations from Oxford Said Business School.
Commenting on her inclusion, Victoria said: “It’s been a very strong year for our ESG Services proposition and, with fund managers continuing to embrace ESG integration, our focus is very much on continuing to develop our award-winning service offering to the hedge fund market.”
“I feel particularly proud and thankful personally to be recognised as one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds, a list that features some great contributions to the sector, but it’s also a fantastic reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to as a team.”
