In a short statement, JT has announced that it has launched a 5G test site in Jersey and a 5G test site in Guernsey, following receipt of a licence to do so from CICRA in March 2019 and in line with a commitment announced in November 2018.
The test will provide technical and planning information to support JT’s forthcoming applications for a licence to extend its 2G/3G/4G networks towards 5G, once the process for doing so is announced by CICRA.
