JFSC Director General, Jill Britton, has been acknowledged as a global leader in regulation at the 2025 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards, taking home the bronze award in the ‘Woman of the Year – Government, Regulatory and Not-for-profit Organisations’ category.
The Powerwomen awards recognise individuals and companies who maximise the potential of women in wealth. This is the second Powerwomen award that Jill has received, following her win in 2020.
The first female Director General of the JFSC, Jill is a champion for inclusion in the workplace, with the JFSC’s executive team achieving gender parity under her leadership. Jill also mentors several people in non-profit organisations, many of whom are women, including through her trusteeship with Jersey Hospice.
The JFSC has seen a 40% reduction in employee turnover
Jill is leading the JFSC through transformative change to effectively position the organisation for the future. This includes driving a programme of substantial digital transformation, alongside a focus on service excellence, with significant improvements seen in Registry turnaround times. With Jill’s focus on people, culture and leadership, the JFSC has seen a 40% reduction in employee turnover since taking up her post in April 2022.
Jill said: “I am honoured to have been recognised by my peers in this way and would like to thank those who recommended me for this award and my colleagues, whose dedication and hard work enable the positive changes we’re making at the JFSC. I am proud to work with people who are driven by our purpose to serve Jersey and enable our island’s largest sector.”
