This year’s Jersey Finance Rising Stars Awards have now opened for voting, with 42 professionals having been shortlisted following an initial judging process.

The Awards, now in their seventh year, celebrate young Jersey talent (aged 16–30 years) across 14 categories and are designed to recognise the future leaders from across the local financial and related professional services industry. Nominations opened in February for firms to put forward young people whom they felt deserved recognition for having made a difference to their workplace, set a strong example in their field of work or drawn on their skills to make a positive impact in the local community.

This year, a number of the Award categories were refined to reflect the changing financial and related professional services landscape, ensuring they remain relevant, inclusive and representative of the industry.

42 nominees have been shortlisted by independent judges David Kennedy, CEO Jersey Sport; Farah Ballands, Chair, Board of Governors, Jersey College for Girls; and Helene Narcy, Board of Commissioners, JFSC. The public can now vote for the shortlisted candidates via a dedicated Awards hub, and winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 3 July at the Royal Jersey Showground.

Commenting on the awards, Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer of Jersey Finance, said: “This year’s applications have been as impressive as ever and I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to everyone who received a nomination for the Awards, especially to those who have made the shortlist. It is this younger generation who are carving a path for the direction of the finance industry and we are incredibly fortunate to have such talent here on the Island. I  hope as many people vote as possible and I look forward to celebrating on the Awards evening.”
