Fiona McFarlane has been appointed to the global STEP Council.
Fiona (pictured) will hold the Jersey Council seat for a three year term, commencing January 2026.
STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) is a global professional body, compromising more than 22,000 professionals including lawyers, accountants, financial advisors and other practitioners who help families plan for their future. STEP sets professional standards, trains and educated its members, and ensures standards are upheld.
STEP Council is elected by members or their representatives from its global Branches and Chapters. Council members are the primary channels for communication and representation between members and STEP’s central governance bodies.
Fiona has served on the STEP Jersey committee for 6 years, including a two year term as Chair. Fiona chairs the STEP Jersey Technical committee, sits on the STEP global membership panel and STEP editorial board.
Commenting on her appointment to STEP Council Fiona said: “I am delighted to have been elected to STEP Council and am looking forward to representing Jersey.”
