Jersey Post has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Mark Siviter who will be taking up his role on 1st June 2022, taking over from Tim Brown who leaves the business at the end of June.

Mark has extensive experience of the global logistics and mail industry, working in the UK, Europe, and South Africa. His recent roles have included CEO of DHL Global Mail UK, Managing Director of DHL Global Mail Europe and more recently Managing Director, Mail and Retail, at the UK Post Office.

Commenting on his appointment Mark stated: “The transformation and diversification of Jersey Post over recent years has created a dynamic and successful business that delivers significant value for the Island. I recognise the importance Jersey Post plays in the local community, through providing high quality services and supporting its people and businesses. I am excited with the opportunity and look forward to leading a business that is an important part of Island life and taking forward its current strategy”.

Alan Merry, Jersey Post Chairman, said: “We are delighted that Mark has agreed to take up this important role. We ran an extensive selection process overseen by the Appointments Commission, which generated several excellent candidates. It was Mark’s track record of success in driving businesses forward in relevant sectors, together with a public service ethos, that made him ideal for this role and the Board looks forward to working with him.

“We would also like to thank Tim Brown for his leadership over the last 11 years – first on the Board of Directors and then as CEO for eight years. He leaves a strong legacy for Mark to continue to drive forward.”

Jersey Post was established in 1969 and incorporated from Government in 2006. The company has an independent Board of Directors and provides postal delivery services to all Jersey residents and businesses. In addition, working with a global partner network in over 190 countries and having established trading locations in several international locations, Jersey Post also provides a comprehensive on and off-Island logistics management solution.
