Jersey Hospice Care has announced the launch of its new eBay shop, marking the charity’s first step into online retail.
The move enables the charity to connect with a wider audience beyond the Island and explore innovative ways to generate vital funds that support its services.
The eBay shop features a wide range of items, such as clothes, accessories, books and music, specially selected from the generous donations the Hospice receives into its shops on Island. This move brings the Hospice in line with many national UK charities such as British Red Cross and Oxfam – who have successfully been operating eBay shops for many years.
Marcus Meadows, Head of Retail at Jersey Hospice Care, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to increase our reach and explore new and innovative ways to grow revenue from our shops. We’re seeing collectibles perform particularly well, so we would encourage anyone with unusual or interesting items to consider donating them – you never know what hidden gems could help raise vital funds for our Hospice care.”
