Digital experts at HSBC in Jersey have developed an app aimed at making it easier for expats to transact in different currencies around the world.
HSBC Expat, which is based in Jersey and manages the finances of expats living abroad, officially launched HSBC FX App last month to its global expat customers. The app is now available through 24 app stores worldwide.
The app has been created for expats that are searching for market insights and who want to compare and convert their currencies on the move. It allows them to make payments and trade more easily, seamlessly and instantly on their mobile devices in a broad range of currencies. The app also incorporates cutting-edge biometric security.
Commenting on the new app launch, John Goddard, Head of HSBC Expat, said
“We understand that expats live busy, internationally-dynamic lives and are constantly having to manage their finances remotely, whether that’s paying school fees, managing their mortgages, or trading in various currencies. This app gives customers control at their fingertips, and the ability to manage their finances at a time that is convenient for them.
“It’s fantastic that our talented teams right here in Jersey have delivered an app that will improve the banking experience for thousands of people across the globe. It is a reflection of the commitment HSBC has made to digital innovation, and testament to the fact that Jersey is a leading jurisdiction for international finance and increasingly fintech.”
