In celebration of Les Amis’s 50th anniversary, Channel Islands Coop has teamed up with Jersey Dairy to offer one lucky person the chance to create their very own unique ice cream flavour.
This special collaboration not only honors the important work of Les Amis but also brings an exciting opportunity for one creative individual to leave their mark on the world of ice cream.
Carl Winn, Head of Sustainability at the Coop said: “We are delighted to be working with Jersey Dairy in support of Les Amis and the fantastic role they play in the local community – empowering islanders with learning disabilities. This initiative not only highlights the importance of inclusivity but also brings the community together in a fun and meaningful way. We are looking forward to seeing the creative entries and, of course, to the winning ice cream flavour hitting the shelves in Coop store.”
Les Amis is a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering adult Islanders with learning disabilities. With a broad range of services designed to meet the needs of each individual, Les Amis provides everything from residential care in group homes, to domiciliary support that helps individuals live independently.
Shaun Findlay, Managing Director of Les Amis said: “Over the past 5 decades Les Amis has achieved amazing things for amazing people and this is yet another example of how we can all support Les Amis whilst having fun and enjoying yourself. We cannot thank the Coop and Jersey Dairy enough for bringing this concept to life and helping us celebrate our 50th in style!”
The winner of the competition will have their flavour created as a limited-edition Jersey Dairy ice cream, available for purchase at Coop stores. All proceeds from sales will go directly to supporting the work of Les Amis.
In addition, the winner and a guest will be invited for an exclusive VIP tour of Jersey Dairy to witness their creation being brought to life. As a special treat, they’ll also receive a case of their very own ice cream to take home!
Eamon Fenlon, Managing Director of Jersey Dairy said: “We’re excited to see what creative ice cream flavours islanders come up with and encourage everyone to think outside the box! Partnering with the Coop for such an incredible cause while celebrating 50 years of Les Amis makes this competition even more special.”
