This Sunday, runners will be lining up at KGV Playing Fields ready to race for mental health and there is still time to sign up.
The Investec Guernsey Mind 10km Fun Run promotes the link between physical and mental health and raises much-needed funds for Guernsey Mind. Entrants of all abilities, aged 16- years-old and over, are invited to take part in one of Guernsey’s most inclusive running events.
Brendan Stewart of Investec commented: “This is our third year sponsoring the Fun Run and it has continuously been the highlight of the summer for our team. Following a tumultuous year, with COVID-19 taking a toll on many islanders’ health both physically and mentally, promoting positive mental health and providing support has never been so important”.
Maddy Diligent of Guernsey Mind added: “The Investec Guernsey Mind 10km Fun Run is one of our biggest events and is a favourite for the local running community. This year has proven to be our most popular event yet with over 450 runners already signed up. We can’t wait to see local runners come together on Sunday for the race, supporting and encouraging one another”.
Runners can register online through Eventbrite or in person at the race. Entries cost £15 and all participants will be given a t-shirt and gift from Investec.
The Investec Guernsey Mind 10km Fun Run is taking place on Sunday 13th September, starting at 9:30am.
