Two of the Isle of Man’s long-standing law firms, Corlett Bolton and Kerruish Law, have merged, creating a network of advocate offices across the Island with improved access to legal services for clients living outside of Douglas.
Corlett Bolton have been operating in the Isle of Man since 1992 providing a wide range of legal services with offices in Douglas, Peel and Port St Mary. The merger with Ramsey-based Kerruish Law will consolidate Corlett Bolton’s positioning as one of the Island’s leading firm of advocates as they join forces with the experienced private client and property team at Kerruish Law.
Sally Bolton, Director, Corlett Bolton, said: “We are delighted that the merger with Kerruish Law has been completed. I am very proud that we are continuing to both grow our business, and help local people with their legal requirements.
“We remain committed to delivering our ethos of being ‘truly local advocates’, which has seen the practice expand in recent years to Peel and Port St Mary as well as Douglas, and now Ramsey, for the convenience of those who wish to utilise their portfolio of legal services. Over the past 30 years, the firm has built a solid reputation within the local community, advising on everything family related: divorce and child issues; family businesses; wills and estate planning; and property. Adding Paul and his team to the mix, further strengthens our offering.”
Paul Kerruish, Managing Director, Kerruish Law, said: “We wanted to join with a firm whose culture and dedication to the Manx community was aligned to ours. We are therefore delighted to be joining forces with Corlett Bolton to continue providing personal and experienced private client and property services, but now with a wider range of complementary practice areas that are also offered by Corlett Bolton.”
The merger will allow Paul Kerruish to continue as an advocate, while freeing up a proportion of his time to focus on the growth of his craft distillery business, Fynoderee.
