Islands Energy Group has appointed Karen Lawrie as Group General Counsel.
Karen (pictured) will oversee legal, governance and regulatory matters across the Group’s operations in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
She joins the business with more than 30 years of experience across the energy, infrastructure, finance and maritime sectors. During her career, she has held senior legal and executive leadership positions with organisations including EDF Energy, Storegga, Subsea 7, Atlas Corp and AET Tankers. Most recently, she was Chief Legal Officer at Esyasoft.
A dual-qualified solicitor in England and Wales and Attorney in Texas, Karen has experience in corporate governance, regulatory affairs, risk management, major projects and cross-border transactions.
