The Association of Jersey Charities is once again giving islanders a chance to support a broad range of local charities in the run up to the festive season.
The Association of Jersey Charities (AJC) has a table at this year’s Genuine Jersey Simply Christmas Market in the Royal Square, with a different charity taking over the table each day. Over the festive period, ten different charities will be represented at the Market, providing islanders with plenty of opportunity to buy gifts, Christmas cards and raffle tickets in support of local good causes.
Entrance to the Simply Christmas Market is free and, alongside the AJC table, over 60 of Jersey’s finest artisans will be showcased, amidst a labyrinth of stalls oozing with festive magic, beautiful gifts and tasty treats – as well as a chance to support local charities.
Marcus Liddiard, CEO, AJC, commented: “The AJC has a long tradition of supporting local charities at Christmas and I’m pleased that we will have such a strong presence at this year’s Simply Christmas – providing a platform for local charities to tell people about their good work and raise important funds to support their activities.
“We’re very conscious that it remains a challenging environment for charities, which is why alongside our presence at the Market we are also ramping up our visibility around the island more widely this festive period to invite people to support charities as best they can. I’d encourage islanders to come along to the Market and play their part in supporting our amazing local charities – they really will appreciate your support.”
