IQ-EQ has promoted Jersey-based Marisa Warren to Regional Head of Onboarding & Implementation for the UK, Ireland and the Crown Dependencies.
Marisa is a senior leader with over 20 years’ experience working in the financial services industry, including in client operations, client relationship management, risk management, and oversight of outsourcing arrangements. She has also held director positions on both client and employer boards.
Marisa joined IQ-EQ in June 2019, having previously been a vice president and board director of State Street Administration Services (UK) Limited, where she was responsible for all aspects of client servicing for private equity funds. Marisa is a chartered secretary and is currently completing the International Compliance Association (ICA)’s Advanced Certificate in Practical Customer Due Diligence.
With this promotion, Marisa is stepping up from her former dual role of Client Services Director (focused on fund clients serviced by IQ-EQ’s London office) and Head of the UK Onboarding and Implementation Team for the firm’s Funds and Regulatory & Compliance Solutions businesses in the UK.
In her new role, Marisa takes on a wider regional remit encompassing the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. She has returned to her native Jersey after seven years in London and will lead the transformation and automation of IQ-EQ’s client onboarding experience across the region for all business lines and service segments.
She will notably build upon on the successful development and re-design of IQ-EQ’s proprietary AML and verification software platform, MaxComply™, into a bespoke end-to-end onboarding solution for use in-house as well as by clients as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering.
Speaking about her new role, Marisa commented: “For firms like IQ-EQ, onboarding is a crucial first step in the client relationship management journey – a real opportunity to set the tone and start as you mean to go on. I’m passionate about ensuring clients receive the best possible onboarding experience so am delighted to be taking on this new regional leadership role and look forward to harnessing all that our market-leading MaxComply platform has to offer.”
Marisa will report directly John Dunn, Regional COO for the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies. He commented: “Marisa’s new role, along with a number of other recent promotions across the regional cluster, reflect the calibre of talent that exists within IQ-EQ. It is also a newly created position within the business, representative of the ongoing success and growth of our operations across the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies. I have no doubt that Marisa will excel in her new position and look forward to working with her as we strive to make our clients’ onboarding experience more streamlined than ever before.”
