Global investor services group IQ-EQ has announced Tonia Leigh-Morgan as its new Head of Private Wealth for Guernsey.
Tonia (pictured) has been with the Group for over 20 years, taking on a range of different senior positions during this time. Having begun her career as a lawyer, dual-qualified as an English barrister and Guernsey advocate, she spent five years in private practice before moving into fiduciary services in 2003 to become in-house counsel for one of the legacy businesses that stands today as IQ-EQ Guernsey.
After ascending to Group Legal Counsel, she moved into client service in 2018 and has since held the position of Client Services Director within IQ-EQ’s Guernsey Private Wealth team; a role that has involved responsibility for high-value, complex trust and corporate structures.
As Head of Private Wealth for Guernsey, Tonia will assume responsibility for IQ-EQ’s 50-strong team of private wealth specialists in the island and will join the local leadership team as well as the global leadership team of IQ-EQ’s Private and Institutional Asset Owners service segment.
Commenting on Tonia’s promotion, Greg Kok, Managing Director of IQ-EQ Guernsey, said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce Tonia as our new Head of Private Wealth. She’s been a key part of our business for more than 20 years and her exceptional knowledge and experience make her ideally suited to this important jurisdictional leadership position as we continue to develop our private wealth business in Guernsey. I look forward to working much more closely with her as we progress through 2024.”
