ABN AMRO Channel Islands has announced it has appointed two new investment managers, Tony Abreu and Emma Bougourd. They bring with them a wealth of industry experience, enriching the already high level of service ABN AMRO delivers to its clients whilst also opening opportunities for the organisation to grow its investment offering.
Tony Abreu brings 25 years’ industry experience, is a Chartered Member of The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) and SFA Futures and Options qualifications, along with a Statement of Professional Standing.
“I intend to use the experience I have gained over the last 25 years to help grow and promote ABN AMRO’s investment offering. I’m looking forward to being part of a company that has an open and pragmatic approach focused around client objectives, service, integrity and transparency. I hope to build on our exceptional client service to achieve our ambition of becoming the leading Channel Islands’ private bank,” said Mr Abreu.
He continued, “Key challenges will be navigating through the ebb and flow of financial markets and maintaining a consistent level of positive returns, but it’s one I relish. The financial services industry is constantly evolving, be it new regulation, fintech or AI initiatives like robo-advisers. But I believe we must not lose sight of individual client needs, providing them with a personal service via the traditional methods of contact.”
Emma Bougourd joins ABN AMRO with 13 years’ experience in the industry. She spent nine years analysing funds across the UK, Emerging Markets and Asia before joining an investment consultancy firm as senior investment analyst for three years. In her new role, she will manage client portfolios to reflect ABN AMRO’s asset allocation views, in accordance with the client’s risk profile and investment strategy.
“I hope my experience analysing funds will bolster our team’s capabilities to select ‘best of breed’ funds for our Multi-Manager mandates. I’m looking forward to being part of a dynamic team that’s cohesive and positive. Working with long-standing team members combined with new members provides depth of experience and knowledge of clients, alongside new energy and fresh ideas,” she said.
Ms Bougourd is a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). She obtained the CISI Diploma in 2010, passing papers in Investment Management, Private Client Investment Advice and Management, and Financial Markets. She also holds the Investment Management Certificate and a Statement of Professional Standing.
“Tony and Emma are excellent additions to ABN AMRO. Combined, they bring a wealth of experience, strong analytical skills and understanding of the markets. Their expert knowledge will support our clients and ongoing business development,” said ABN AMRO Channel Islands’ Managing Director, Graham Thoume.
