Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited (IBCI) has appointed Michelle Ryan as an Independent Non-Executive Director (NED), effective April 2026.
Michelle succeeds Sandra Platts, who is stepping down after thirteen years on the Investec Channel Islands Board.
Michelle brings more than 18 years’ experience in private banking, built through senior roles in Jersey and London. A Jersey resident, Michelle has built her career in the islands as well as in London, developing deep technical expertise, long-standing client relationships and a strong understanding of the local financial services environment.
Alongside her banking career, Michelle founded True, a sustainability consultancy established in 2020. As Director and Chief Sustainability Officer, she works with corporate clients to support long-term, sustainable business strategies. Michelle will remain a director of True and will continue as a Non-Executive Director of Jersey Finance alongside her appointment at Investec.
Kevin McKenna, Chairman of IBCI, said: “We are delighted to welcome Michelle to the Investec Channel Islands Board. Michelle brings deep private banking expertise and a strong understanding of Jersey’s financial services sector. Her appointment reflects the importance of our Jersey office within our wider Channel Islands strategy and our continued focus on building leadership that is rooted in the islands.
“I would also like to thank Sandra for her thirteen years of service to the Investec Channel Islands Board. Sandra has made a significant contribution to the Bank and has been a strong supporter of the development of our people, helping to build capability and talent across the business.”
IBCI has operated in the Channel Islands for more than 25 years, providing private banking and tailored lending solutions to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trustees and regulated intermediaries across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.
