Intact Insurance has announced the launch of its 2026 Channel Islands Apprenticeship Programme.
Based in either Guernsey or Jersey, the programme enables participants across the Channel Islands the opportunity to gain valuable experience while remaining on island and working for a leading insurance business.
The 3½-year apprenticeship combines practical, on-the-job learning with structured study. Apprentices will work towards industry-recognised qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), with all tuition and membership fees fully funded. No previous experience in insurance is required.
Participants will gain experience across a range of departments, including claims, underwriting, operations, IT and administration, helping them develop a broad understanding of the industry.
Sarah Beatty (pictured), Managing Director at Intact Insurance Channel Islands, said: “Insurance isn’t always the first career that comes to mind, but it’s an industry which
is full of variety, and real purpose. Through the Intact Channel Islands Apprenticeship Programme, we want to show young people that a career in insurance can be truly rewarding – offering the chance to grow, learn and make a meaningful difference to individuals, businesses, and our wider community”.
