Sue Fox, CEO, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man has made the top 20 in the ‘OUTstanding 50 Ally Executives List’ as part of the OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Models 2021 initiative.
This is the fifth time Sue has been included in the list, which recognises business leaders who act as advocates and allies for diversity and inclusion, breaking down barriers and creating more inclusive workplaces across the world.
A long-term champion for such values in the workplace, Sue is the executive sponsor of HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man’s ‘Diversity and Inclusion Allies’ group, which works to provide events, training and content aimed at overcoming taboos, providing colleagues with deeper insights, and highlighting both conscious and unconscious bias and discrimination.
Sue, who was also recently recognised for a third time in INvolve’s global HERoes Women Role Model list, said: “Everyone has the right to be able to go to work and feel secure in presenting their true self. Diversity of experience, thought and culture not only make our lives richer but also form the basis of good business and I am extremely proud to be recognised as someone who is making strides in nurturing an inclusive workplace and breaking down barriers.”
OUTstanding is part of INvolve, the global membership organisation that champions diversity and inclusion in business. Through the delivery of events, programmes, thought leadership and advisory services, INvolve helps firms drive cultural change and create inclusive workplaces where any individual can succeed.
Founder & CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, said: “I’m thrilled to be celebrating this trailblazing group of global LGBT+ and Ally Role Models who are championing inclusion and inspiring the next generation of talent. It’s vital that the LGBT+ community can succeed and be authentic in business and beyond, and these Role Models are essential in dismantling barriers to progression and creating opportunities for LGBT+ employees to thrive.”
