Ten professionals from HSBC’s Wealth and Personal Banking division in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man have completed specialist wealth and investment qualifications through the Bank’s dedicated Wealth Academy.
The latest cohort includes six employees achieving Level 4 qualifications and a further four achieving Level 6 of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) pathway.
HSBC’s Wealth Academy supports the development of internal talent by enabling employees to undertake structured, specialist training and qualifications through major accredited professional development bodies in the wealth and investment space, such as the CISI or the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF).
The professional development forms part of HSBC’s strategy to create a wealth ‘centre of excellence’ for island customers which along with access to wealth professionals also includes a range of dedicated wealth tools and platforms, such as the online International Investment Centre. The digital platform provides access to a broad range of ‘self-executed’ investment opportunities as well as a dedicated Wealth Insights hub, while the Bank’s wealth advisory team has also been significantly expanded recently, including a number of senior level appointments.
Commenting on the recent Wealth Academy success, Cameron Senior (pictured), Interim Head of Wealth and Personal Banking, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man, said: “It is our strategic aim to continue enhancing our wealth proposition across the islands, providing customers with a seamless pathway for managing their financial affairs and access to a broad team of wealth professionals. It’s excellent to see our people graduate through the Wealth Academy, and I’m looking forward to even more doing so over the coming months.”
