Hawksford has been named ‘Corporate Services Team of the Year 2023’ at the CGI Jersey Annual Dinner, Graduation and Awards, reflecting the team’s commitment to high standards of corporate governance.
The winners – selected by an independent panel of judges, following a comprehensive filtering process and a series of interviews – were announced at a gala dinner at the Royal Yacht’s Celestial Dining Hall, in Jersey, on Friday 20 October.
The Corporate Governance Institute (CGI), formerly known as the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries (ICSA), is the only Chartered professional body dedicated to supporting governance professionals. Organised by the Jersey branch of the CGI, these awards recognise and celebrate excellence in governance, rewarding the work and achievements of companies, teams and individuals from across the governance profession.
Commenting on the award, David Carswell, Hawksford’s Head of Corporate Services in Jersey, said: “I’m incredibly proud, and honoured, to see our Corporate Jersey team win this award and it is thoroughly deserved. It’s not only a testament to our hard work, dedication, and exceptional knowledge and expertise, but it also underscores Hawksford’s commitment to delivering outstanding governance and corporate services to our clients. We are grateful to the CGI, and the judging panel, for this recognition.”
To add to the achievement in winning the award, Hawksford was chosen in a category that included some larger, high calibre corporate service providers.
Hosted by ITV Channel Television presenter Jess Dunsdon, and attended by more than 230 guests from across Jersey’s finance industry, this was the first time the Jersey CGI awards have been held since the global pandemic.
Seven Corporate awards were presented on the evening, in addition to the celebration of 41 CGI students, either graduating or being upgraded to Associate or Fellow status. The CGI Corporate Services Team of the Year award was sponsored by Rathbones.
