Stephen Lansdown, the billionaire owner of Pula Investments Ltd and major shareholder in Bristol City Football club has purchased La Grande Mare Hotel & Golf course for an undisclosed sum.
The business was started 40 years ago by the Vermeulen family, and is currently run by brothers Chris and Simon Vermeulen.
Mr Landsown has stated that, as a member of the golf course already, he could see the potential in the business, and build on the foundations laid over the last forty years.
A new General Manager has been appointed under the new ownership.
