Guernsey Housing Association has promoted Tyler McKane to Maintenance and Asset Manager after 10 years with the organisation.
In his new role, Tyler (pictured) will oversee the maintenance and investment needs of GHA’s rental and partial ownership properties, working with suppliers and contractors to ensure homes remain safe, well-maintained and compliant. This includes overseeing improvement works across GHA’s more established properties, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of residents.
Tyler joined GHA as a Housing Assistant in 2016 and has since held three different roles within the organisation.
Vic Slade, Chief Executive of GHA, said: “Tyler’s commitment to GHA, continued professional development and dedication to our values made him a standout candidate for this position.
“Alongside delivering more affordable housing in Guernsey, it is essential that we continue to look after and invest in our existing properties. Tyler has built considerable experience working with suppliers, contractors and consultants during his time here, and that experience will be invaluable in his new role.’
Commenting on his promotion, Tyler said: “I have had the privilege of working with an incredible team over the past decade, and their support has played a big part in my progression at GHA. Every rental and partial ownership property has its own set of needs, but our priority is the same across all of them – to provide safe, well-maintained and comfortable homes for our residents. I’m looking forward to leading the team and building on the great work already being done across our properties and developments.”
