Bookings for Guernsey’s first island-wide AI Sprint passed the 1,000 mark, in just 6 days, almost four weeks before the first session takes place.
The AI Sprint runs from 1 October to 12 November and brings together over 50 free events across six weeks: talks, workshops, hackathons and clinics designed for everyone from complete beginners to senior leaders in the island’s regulated businesses. It has been organised by the island’s leading industry bodies, the G8, under one clear message: we’re all in.
Multiple sessions are already fully booked and many more are over two thirds full, with demand coming from every corner of the programme, from absolute-beginner workshops through to sessions on AI governance, board effectiveness and leadership. It is a clear sign that the island’s boards and senior teams are taking AI seriously.
Alice Gill (pictured), Executive Director of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, said: “We set ourselves the target of 1,000 people attending and to have 1000 bookings already is fantastic. There is genuinely something in the programme for everyone, whether you have never opened an AI tool in your life or you sit on a board that needs answers this year. Every single session is free, so my advice is: have a look at the programme and book before the one you want fills up!”
