Flybe will launch a twice-weekly service between Guernsey and London Southend Airport.
The news comes just a week after the airline announced the cancellation of its Heathrow route. It also follows the withdrawal from the Southend route by Flybe’s franchise partner, Blue Islands.
‘We are committed to maintaining regional connectivity for our Guernsey customers and especially look forward to welcoming them on board to share our journey as we become Virgin Connect,’ said Flybe’s interim chief commercial officer, Oli Byers, referencing the airline’s upcoming rebrand as Virgin Connect.
The London Southend route will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 May 2020.
