Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa has launched a mouth-watering competition to find islanders ideas on what makes the perfect burger.
The hotel in St Helier is Islanders to create the ultimate burger for its menu.
A great burger starts with the perfect patty but will you go for beef, chicken, veggie or even a fish burger and what other key ingredients, buns, fillings and sauces will make yours stand out from the crowd?
The top three entrants will be invited to the hotel for the exciting ‘cook-off’ on National Burger Day on 26th August. Three local ‘celebrity’ judges will then have the unenviable task of choosing which will be crowned as the champion. The winning burger will appear on the Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa menu and the winning contestant will be invited back to The Terrace with three members of their family or friends to enjoy their burger as recreated by the hotel’s Chef.
Commenting on the competition Shaun McGachan, General Manager said, “We’re really excited to see what recipes islanders come up with to create the perfect burger for our menu and to taste the top three after the big cook-off!”
“For every winning burger sold during the months of August and September Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa will be donating £1 to Autism Jersey, our charity of choice for this year, so this fun competition will be helping a brilliant local cause too!”
