ABC Jersey’s fifth annual Golf Day has raised £29,612.21.
The fully subscribed tournament took place at La Moye Golf Club on Friday 4 September, bringing together teams from Jersey’s business community for golf, fundraising and friendly competition.
Players took part in a Four Ball Stableford competition and challenges before a clubhouse lunch, raffle and live charity auction. The event was supported by platinum sponsor Medicann, alongside Highvern and CSC.
The proceeds will help ABC Jersey provide practical, emotional and financial support to islanders affected by breast cancer. The charity has supported islanders for more than 25 years, offering services including financial assistance, monthly support meetings and wellbeing initiatives.
Sarah Burns, ABC Jersey Ambassador and Golf Day organiser, said: “We never take the generosity of our community for granted. A total like this gives us the ability to keep saying ‘yes’ when somebody comes to ABC Jersey needing support.
“That’s ultimately what the Golf Day is about. It’s a fantastic day and everyone has a great time, but behind all the golf and friendly competition is a very serious purpose – making sure Islanders affected by breast cancer know that they don’t have to face it alone.”
