The Jersey Police Authority has announced the appointment of three new members, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience that will strengthen oversight of policing in Jersey.
Following a competitive recruitment campaign earlier this year, the Jersey Police Authority (JPA) has welcomed Miss Natasha Egré (pictured) and Mr Rob Douglas to the Authority.
Their combined expertise in governance, public service, law, finance, and community engagement will be invaluable in supporting the Jersey Police Authority’s independent role in ensuring the highest standards of policing across the Island.
Miss Natasha Egré, a strategic business leader and former Chair of the Institute of Directors Jersey Branch, brings a strong track record in governance, stakeholder engagement and organisational change. A passionate advocate for integrity and accountability, Natasha is committed to promoting inclusive practices and contributing to the JPA’s mission of transparency and public trust.

Mr Robert Douglas, a seasoned professional in the finance and legal sectors, adds significant trustee and tribunal experience to the Authority. With a strong belief in the importance of fair and principled oversight, Rob has long demonstrated a commitment to public service, notably as a founder and trustee of the Jersey Marathon and a member of key appeals panels.

In addition to these new volunteer appointments, Deputy Helen Miles was appointed in February of this year and joined the Authority with over 30 years of experience in Jersey’s criminal justice system. A former Director of Criminal Justice for the States of Jersey Police, and current Chair of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, Helen brings deep institutional knowledge and a longstanding commitment to evidence-based practice and community safety.
Chair of the Jersey Police Authority, Mr Simon Harman said: “We are thrilled to welcome Natasha, Rob and Helen to the Authority. Each of them brings a fresh perspective, professional rigour, and an unwavering commitment to public accountability. Their appointments come at a crucial time as we continue to develop and expand our oversight role in line with Jersey’s evolving policing landscape.
“I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all our volunteer Authority members, whose dedication and commitment make a vital contribution to policing in Jersey. Their time, expertise and willingness to serve in this important regulatory role ensures that the States of Jersey Police remains accountable, effective, and responsive to the needs of islanders. On behalf of the Board, and the public we represent, I want to acknowledge and celebrate the impact of their work in helping to keep our community safe.”
