Freeda launches new website and updates 24/7 helpline number

Freeda, Jersey’s independent domestic abuse charity, has updated its main helpline number and launched a new website to support islanders affected by domestic abuse.

The new 24/7 helpline number is 01534 281271.

This new number replaces Freeda’s previous helpline and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The charity continues to offer safe, confidential and compassionate support to anyone experiencing domestic abuse.

“As more people turn to digital platforms for help, we’re committed to expanding our online presence,” said Kate Wright, CEO of FREEDA.

“Whilst our 24/7 helpline remains the best way to reach support staff directly, we’ve launched a new website to provide accessible information, alternative contact options, and ways to get involved as a friend or supporter of Freeda.

“Importantly, it’s also a helpful resource for understanding and recognising the many forms domestic abuse can take.”
