Focus on AI as Digital Jersey unveils skills programme for second half of 2025
Share on LinkedInTwitterFacebookEmail

Digital Jersey has unveiled a comprehensive programme of courses and workshops for the second half of 2025, aimed at enabling islanders to upskill and nurturing a workforce that is ‘future-ready’.

Available to all islanders, the programme of around 40 free and paid-for courses has been developed in partnership with highly experienced and specialist tutors, to create a focused pathway with an emphasis on skills that will be needed both now and in the future workplace – from social media, digital  communication and sales, to customer service, coding and data protection.

As well as a number of free introductory courses, designed to help people get started on their digital skills journey, there are also sessions to help those with some experience build on their current knowledge, and more advanced modules for people wanting to become experts and specialists in certain areas.

Of particular note is a focus on AI across the programme, something that is aligned with the global shift towards AI integration in the workplace and that complements the AI Playbook Digital Jersey is developing this year working with off island advisers and local stakeholders.

Commenting on the programme, Tony Moretta, CEO, Digital Jersey, said: “Our latest range of courses and workshops forms a key part of our skills strategy and provides a fantastic opportunity for people in Jersey to boost their digital skills. In bringing this programme together, we’ve worked hard to offer a selection of sessions at all levels, enabling people to learn more about the opportunities presented by technology – from the basics all the way through to highly specialised areas. In particular, we’re really pleased to have a number of sessions on AI – something that complements our wider work on AI adoption in Jersey.

“We’ve already had significant interest in the courses, recognition that enhancing the digital expertise of Jersey’s workforce, in all areas of the economy, is absolutely critical for the future success of the island.”
