EY has announced its Bronze Sponsorship of Jersey Touch Rugby, supporting the continued growth of a popular community sport in Jersey.
Touch Rugby has been played in Jersey for over 20 years and brings together more than 150 players across corporate, family, women’s, men’s and mixed teams. Its inclusive format, along with initiatives like the Touch 4 All programme, makes it accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
The partnership aligns with EY’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote wellbeing and inclusion. Jersey Touch promotes the sport across the island, while also providing the chance for players to compete at national and international levels, including European and World Championships.
As part of the sponsorship, EY will support Jersey Touch’s continued development, helping to reach more people and create further opportunities to get involved in the sport.
Daniel Luwum, Partner at EY, said: “Having taken part in the corporate touch summer league with the EY team, I’ve seen first-hand how enjoyable and social the game is. It brings people together, and we’re really pleased to support Jersey Touch this season.”
Kevin Hart, Sponsorship Officer at Jersey Touch, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome EY as a sponsor of Jersey Touch. Their support is a fantastic endorsement of what we are building as an inclusive, community-focused sport that brings people together across all ages and genders.
“It’s an exciting time for the club, with upcoming tournaments including the Junior Touch Cup, where we will be taking both an Under 17s mixed team and an Under 17s boys’ team, as well as the European Championships, where Jersey will be represented by our mixed open team and men’s over 50s team.
“Partnerships like this are vital in helping us continue to grow participation, expand our programmes and provide opportunities for players at every level to get involved and thrive.”
