Millie Purdom, an Assistant Manager in EY’s Channel Islands Extended Assurance team, has been named ‘Rising Star in Compliance’ at this year’s Jersey Finance Stars awards.
The Jersey Finance Rising Stars Awards are designed to recognise, reward, and celebrate the achievements of the rising talent across Jersey’s finance industry. In total, over 200 people were nominated for the 14 available categories, with three shortlisted in each by a panel of independent judges.
Millie’s (pictured) initial interest in compliance investigations came during an internship with the US Securities and Exchange Commission whilst living in the US. She further developed her skills in risk advisory with EY’s Forensics team before moving to Jersey and joining EY’s Extended Assurance team. Her international perspective has profoundly shaped the Extended Assurance team, delivering insights to clients in an increasingly complex and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment. She demonstrated to the judges that she is passionate about nurturing her and others’ knowledge of regulatory matters.
Millie said: “I’m delighted to have won a rising star award and am grateful for the continued investment and support I’ve had from EY, particularly my colleagues in our Extended Assurance team. I look forward to continuing to develop my skills within the team and to keep progressing in my career with EY.”
