Experienced banking and finance lawyer Helen Munro has joined Walkers’ Jersey office as a Senior Counsel.
Helen, who has spent the last 11 years practising in the Abu Dhabi office of international law firm Dentons, is a specialist in Islamic finance and asset finance matters. Her arrival further strengthens the team led by partners Nigel Weston and Alexandra Corner, and group partners Jon Le Rossignol and Tristan Maultby.
During Helen’s time in the Middle East, she advised on many notable deals including the first sustainability-linked loan tied to ESG targets in global aviation, and innovative hybrid Islamic/conventional financing relating to major maritime finance deals.
She trained and qualified in London before moving to Abu Dhabi, and worked as an analyst and consultant in the energy sector before becoming a lawyer.
