EVie has announced a significant milestone in its mission to transform how people travel across the islands.
The company delivered 1,141 trips across its A2A and A2B services in May 2025, beating its target of 1,000 trips by more than ten per cent.
Almost half of those trips came from the new A2B service, which launched just five months ago. The A2B service, offering compact two‐seat electric cars for point‐to‐point travel, is quickly becoming a popular and convenient option for islanders.
EVie CEO Nick Perchard‐Rees (pictured) said this reflects a shift in how people think about transport: “Accessibility and affordability are key. We’ve overhauled our pricing to create more value and simplicity for customers, and introduced subscription options so people can save even more. It’s about making alternatives that work for everyday life – especially for those who don’t need a second car, or in some cases, a car at all.”
“To not only hit the 1,000 trip mark but to surpass it by more than ten per cent is amazing. This growth is down to many factors: the dedication of our team and their focus on customer service, the support of forward‐thinking partners like Ports of Jersey, Andium, the Channel Islands Co‐op and local businesses such as the Bass & Lobster, and the parishes that have embraced the service. Making space for A2B parking and supporting alternatives has been a breath of fresh air – it shows how well this approach can work when communities get behind it.”
