
Talk with leading expert in spinal health
Renowned consultant neurosurgeon, Mr Dan Plev (MD FANCH) will be visiting Guernsey in February and giving a free talk, offering a unique opportunity for islanders to hear from a leading expert in spinal health.
Mr Plev has extensive experience in spinal assessment, treatment and surgery, and is a specialist in minimally invasive procedures. His expertise includes kyphoplasty for fractures, endoscopic discectomies, and nucleoplasties. He is also at the forefront of pioneering stem cell therapies for spinal conditions, aiming to bring cutting-edge treatments to his patients.
A graduate of Mainz University, Mr Plev trained in Phoenix, Arizona, and completed his neurosurgical training in Munich. He has previously worked as a consultant neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital and collaborated with the multidisciplinary team at The London Spine Clinic. Now dedicated to private healthcare, he continues to work with top spinal specialists.

On Friday, 21st February at 6:00 pm, Mr Plev will be giving a free talk at the First Contact Health Clinic, where he will discuss treatment paths and the latest advancements in spinal care. Mr Plev’s treatment philosophy prioritises holistic, minimally invasive approaches, starting with physiotherapy and injection therapy, and only considering surgical options such as disc replacements and fusions when necessary. His wide-ranging expertise includes treating back and neck pain, nerve pain, sciatica, degenerative disorders, and trauma-related injuries.
