REAL in the park
Come and join us at REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) in the Park as part of the Jersey Festival of Words.
Join us for a morning of free, fun activities for babies and young children all designed to support early literacy development, such as communication and language, early reading skills and early writing skills.
Including:
- The Childcare and Early Years Service with activities from the app ‘50 Things to do Before you’re Five’.
- Jersey Child Care Trust with singing and signing and craft activities.
- Carolyn O’Boyle local author with storytelling and craft activities.
- Village Pre School with activities linked to a children’s story.
- Penny Byrne local author with storytelling and crafts.
- Nicky Hay, author of Extraordinary Humans: A creative approach to art in early years.

REAL in the Park’s mission is to empower parents and their young children through engaging play-based activities. The event will feature a captivating book character, free books for all attendees, and a variety of interactive experiences designed to enhance communication, reading, and writing skills to support early literacy development.
